Silver fillings are a thing of the past in our office for many reasons. Those fillings over the years would leak bacteria as they pulled away from the tooth, as well as expand causing microfractures in the tooth structure. BPA Free white filling are the only fillings used in our office for our kids safety.

Dental sealants are clear coatings applied to the surfaces of a child’s molars to prevent the development of tooth decay. They work by preventing food and plaque from resting in the grooves and crevices of molars. The process of getting sealants is fast and painless. The tooth is cleaned before the dentist paints the sealant onto the enamel. There is no need for any shots or drilling.

BABY'S FIRST DENTAL EXAM (Happy Visit)

Baby Exam.jpg

Only 15% of parents are aware that the first dental examination should be done by age 12 month. Most parents even try to avoid the early trip to the dentist because of a frightening experience they may remember from their youth.

Kids who had their first dental visit on time before their 1st birthday experienced less caries or none compared to kids who visited dentist after their 3rd birthday. The same thing applies to gum disease.

A baby exam is a quick look inside the child's mouth but has a huge value. Parents receive a lot of good information about their child's oral heath. The child does not even sit on the chair and remains on the parent's lap the whole visit something we call a knee to knee exam. Your child's reaction to their first visit to the dentist may surprise you.
